Which Packaging Machines Are Used for Honey?

Types of Packaging Machinery for Honey | Honey Filling Machines

Honey is a natural sweet substance produced by bees after they collect nectar, secretions, or honeydew from plants and fully brew it in the hive. This thick, glossy liquid ranges in color from white and pale yellow to orange or tawny. Unlike sucrose, honey primarily consists of two easily absorbed monosaccharides—glucose and fructose—along with essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. At low temperatures, the glucose content crystallizes, while fructose remains liquid. Due to its natural sweetness, honey is often called “liquid gold.”

For over 15 years, Foshan HHZPACK has specialized in manufacturing high-quality packaging machines. Our team of experienced engineers and distributors provides tailored solutions for any product, including honey. Many clients have successfully used our honey packing machines, which combine efficiency and reliability. Below, we outline a complete honey packaging line we’ve designed, featuring a packaging host, weight detector, metal detector, and disc collection platform. With just 1-2 operators, this automated system significantly reduces labor costs while boosting productivity.

How the Honey Packaging Line Works

  • Step 1: Filling & Measuring
First, workers pour honey into the hopper, where a liquid pump precisely measures the amount dispensed. Since honey’s high viscosity slows its flow, we equip the hopper with a heating and stirring device to improve fluidity. This adjustment speeds up packaging while maintaining accuracy.
  • Step 2: Weight Detection
Next, the weight detection machine screens each product based on preset tolerances. For example, if the target weight is 200g, operators can set an acceptable range (e.g., 198g–202g). Any underweight or overweight products are automatically rejected, ensuring only properly filled containers proceed.
  • Step 3: Metal Detection
The metal detector then scans for contaminants. Highly sensitive, it instantly identifies and removes any product containing metal fragments, guaranteeing safety and quality compliance.
  • Step 4: Sorting & Collection
Finally, approved products move to the disc sorting machine, which continuously rotates to distribute them evenly. Workers can then organize the honey containers efficiently for boxing or further processing.
